Installation Guide
1. Install the first board by applying a bead of exterior constrution adhesive to each joist and fastening down using the included screws and plugs (Use a 1/8" drill bit with a 3/8" coutersink).
2. If using pre-grooved decking skip onto step 4 - if not using pre-grooved decking adjust your router or plate joiner to the correct height for your EB-TY size.
3. Cut one slot in each side of the deck board at each joist & deck board intersection.
4. Place an EB-TY in each slot and install it with a 7# 2-1/4" screw (inserting the screw at a 45 degree angle) (drill an angled pilot hole if you are using hardwood decking).
5. For each additional board follow steps 6 thru 10:
6. Cut slots in the deck board at each joist & deck board intersection.
7. Apply a bead of exterior construction adhesive to each joist.
8. Place the board so that the slots slip over the exposed EB-TY fasteners.
9. - Make sure board fits snugly to existing EB-TY fastener - Use a BoWrench or clamp to straighten the board if necessary.
